Epic Consultant – Grand Central (ADT)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Epic Grand Central Consultant with expertise in Admission, Discharge, and Transfer (ADT) workflows within hospital systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience configuring, optimizing, and supporting Epic Grand Central, along with a deep understanding of hospital operations, bed management, patient movement, and integration with other Epic modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, optimize, and support Epic Grand Central (ADT) within a hospital setting.
- Work closely with hospital stakeholders, including clinicians and administrative staff, to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Optimize bed planning, patient movement, transfer center workflows, and emergency department throughput using Grand Central tools.
- Support system upgrades, testing, and validation to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to ensure seamless integration with Epic Prelude, Cadence, and Resolute.
- Provide end-user training, go-live support, and post-implementation troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and user guides.
- Work with interfaces and third-party integrations (HL7, FHIR) to ensure seamless patient data exchange across hospital systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues related to ADT workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Epic Grand Central (ADT) certification is required.
- 5+ years of hands-on Epic Grand Central (ADT) experience in a hospital system.
- Strong understanding of hospital operations, patient flow, and bed management.
- Experience working with Epic Prelude, Cadence, and Resolute is a plus.
- Knowledge of interface development and HL7/FHIR standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Epic upgrades, testing, and system optimizations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Epic implementations, migrations, or large-scale optimizations.
- Experience with hospital command center operations and transfer center workflows.
- Familiarity with Epic Cogito reporting and data analytics.
- Previous consulting experience in large hospitals or healthcare systems.
