Melissa James

Melissa is a versatile Project Manager with BigRio where she wears multiple hats ensuring that the company runs effectively and efficiently. Her specialty lies in building and maintaining relationships both with clients and employees. Some of Melissa’s key responsibilities in this role include account management, employee engagement initiatives, and coordinating the on-boarding process for a quickly growing team.

Prior to her current role, Melissa worked in technical recruiting, where she did full-cycle recruitment and business development in several sectors within the tech world. Throughout her career, Melissa has seen the many sides of HR in the modern-day tech landscape. She understands the importance of balancing quantitative analysis with the human side of technology.

Melissa has an MS in Applied Mathematics from Purdue University and a BS in Mathematics from the College of Coastal of Georgia. She uses her mathematical background to come up with creative solutions to hard business problems.

Melissa is originally from Georgia but migrated to the Boston area a few years ago where she has found a home with BigRio. When she is not hard at work, she enjoys painting and spending time outside.
