Rapidly Scaling Secure Telehealth in the Pandemic
Our Client, a tech giant in the Healthcare industry known for its telemedecine platform, needed to strengthen and expand their virtual platform to meet the needs of patients during the pandemic.
However, the telehealth platform was not scaling efficiently. The client needed a platform that could
- Keep up with changing patient demand and preferences
- Address outdated Security and SSO
- Overcome incompatability problems from legacy systems
- Create a seamless experience for end-users
SOLUTION
Agile project management to deliver on an accelerated time scale
BigRio implemented our Accelerate Model to:
- Rapidly build a technically capable team: 11 full scrum teams including scrum masters, business analysts, QA and developers
- Manage day-to-day operations of an expanded team that peaked at 120+ employees and leveraging those resources to deliver custom features for the client’s telehealth platform including:
- Improved access to Patient Care history documentation
- Migration of old data from legacy systems
- Increased security standards and SSO
RESULTS
A transformed telehealth platform
In six months, BigRio was able to deliver the upgraded capabilities for its client including
- 12 Application components
- 8 Releases
- QA automation that reduced manual testing from 268 to 49 hours
- Easier access and set-up for customers with integrated video and collaboration tools
In addition, the project helped the client to reduce tech debt, improve AWS costs, and free up internal teams to focus on additional projects.
