About the Role
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of products and services across the organization. This role is responsible for supporting the full purchasing lifecycle, including supplier sourcing, purchase order management, vendor negotiations, contract administration, spend analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to forecast purchasing needs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure timely procurement of quality goods and services. This position plays a key role in optimizing procurement processes, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for products and services.
- Research, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, pricing, service, and delivery performance.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and contracts.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
- Monitor order status and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
- Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to support purchasing decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Research market trends and supplier capabilities to make informed sourcing decisions.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, and other business teams to ensure procurement activities align with organizational needs.
- Develop purchasing strategies that support business objectives and budget requirements.
- Evaluate the quality of goods and services received and resolve supplier performance or delivery issues.
- Coordinate budget approvals for purchasing activities.
- Manage contract workflows and commercial negotiations using contract lifecycle management tools.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and monitor vendor performance and overall spend.
- Drive continuous process improvements and ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, strategic sourcing, or a related discipline.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
- Experience working with procurement and ERP platforms such as Coupa and NetSuite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using IronClad or another contract lifecycle management platform.
- Experience supporting indirect procurement or technology-related purchasing.
- Knowledge of spend analysis, procurement reporting, and supplier performance management.
- Experience identifying and implementing procurement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
